i read this Tumblr post a while back about giving stranded bees sugar water to revive them so how excited was I earlier today when I found one on my living room carpet.. ’ don’t you worry Mr Bee’, I thought - ‘I’ll save you!’ After offering up sugar water to said bee, I decided to put him on my peace lily to fully recuperate. Found the bee a while ago, floating belly up in the water at the bottom of the pot. Adam pointed out that at least he had a fine last dinner. This does not comfort me. I am the inadvertent, and deeply apologetic, nemesis of the bee.

Sak Yant or Yantra Tattooing are  believed to give the wearer magic powers associated with healing, luck, strength, and protection against evil.

You can get these here in thailand by a monk, they look beautiful but I’d never recommend it. Essentially, you’re making a pact with a spirit to protect you in exchange for sacrificing an activity or habit you may have previously enjoyed (the monk decides what this is, not you). These tattoos are contracts.
Breaking your side of the bargain may encourage the spirit to ‘punish’ you, and these contracts are not easily voided.

it really does pay off, if you live in a multi cultural area like mine, to learn a few basic phrases of greeting and thanks - when I nip into some of my local shops, it’s lovely to get a smile, a hello and a bit of laughter when I mangle a phrase :D

I remember when I was younger and I wanted to be beautiful; now I’m older and I want to be intelligent. I want to burn hearts with brilliance and engulf souls with compassion. I want to be loved for my thoughts and nothing else.

Ooo are you in an orchestra or group? Or purely for your own amusement?
{snorts with laughter} — noooo - stopped playing regularly during my final year at uni - I first agreed to take the lessons at school in return for riding lessons.. my folks wanted a daughter they could trot out at parties and say ’ look how she plays’ :P so I figured I might as well get something out of it for me! I did grow to enjoy both flute and piano for their own sake tho - and I still ride
And do you play the piano? Or any musical instruments?
